Dementia Support and Education

Caring for a loved one living with dementia can feel overwhelming, confusing, and isolating. You don’t have to face it alone. As an End-of-Life Doula and Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), I provide professional, heart-centered support for individuals living with dementia and their families, providing compassionate care.

I offer practical education to help you understand the progression of dementia, manage challenging symptoms, and communicate more effectively. I’ll help you create a safe, familiar environment that promotes comfort, reduces agitation, and supports dignity. For your loved one, I provide meaningful engagement, emotional support, and consistent companionship to improve quality of life.

Together, we’ll develop a personalized care plan that honors your loved one’s values, prepares you for what’s ahead, and helps you feel more confident and connected on this journey.

How can I support you?

Dementia Support & Companionship

Provide your loved one with consistent emotional, spiritual, and social support from someone who understands dementia deeply. Through gentle companionship, sensory engagement, and meaningful conversation or activities, I help reduce feelings of isolation, confusion, and anxiety, fostering a greater sense of calm, safety, and connection.

Dementia Education for Families

Understanding dementia empowers you to respond with compassion and confidence. I offer tailored education on the different types and stages of dementia, what to expect as symptoms progress, and how to communicate effectively with individuals living with dementia. Learn practical tools to support your loved one’s needs while preserving your relationship and well-being.

Emotional Support for Caregivers

Caregiving for someone with dementia is both an act of love and a heavy emotional load. I provide one-on-one emotional support, space to process your experience, and tools to manage stress, anticipatory grief, and burnout. You’ll feel less alone and more equipped to meet each day with resilience and grace.

Advance Care & End-of-Life Planning

Early, thoughtful planning ensures your loved one’s voice remains central in their care. I guide families through meaningful conversations about their wishes, values, and priorities, supporting documentation such as advance directives, and helping you prepare for future decisions with confidence and peace of mind.

Comfort-Focused Environment Setup

A well-prepared environment can dramatically reduce distress and improve daily life for someone living with dementia. I’ll help assess and shape the home to be safer, more familiar, and more soothing, supporting routines, sensory comfort, and autonomy wherever possible.

Grief & Bereavement Support

Grief often begins long before death. I walk alongside families experiencing anticipatory loss, ambiguous grief, and post-death mourning. Through compassionate listening and gentle guidance, I provide a safe space for you to explore your emotions and find healing at your own pace and in your way.

Care Navigation & Local Resource Referral

You don’t have to figure everything out on your own. I help families connect with trusted local resources—from in-home care and adult day programs to memory care facilities and hospice services. My goal is to reduce your overwhelm and connect you with support that aligns with your loved one’s needs and values.
